Planning a trip to the land of the Pharaohs? Navigating the Egypt entry visa process is the first step toward your desert adventure. Whether you are flying into Cairo or crossing into Sinai, understanding the different visa types and costs will ensure a smooth arrival.

Types of Egypt Tourist Visas

Depending on your nationality and travel plans, you have three primary ways to secure entry:

  1. Visa on Arrival (VoA): Available to citizens of over 40 countries (including the US, UK, EU, and Australia). You can purchase this 30-day single-entry sticker at bank kiosks located before passport control at major airports for $25 USD in cash.
  2. Egypt e-Visa: A convenient digital alternative that you apply for online at least 7 days before your trip. It is available for both single-entry ($25) and multiple-entry ($60) tourism.
  3. Sinai-Only Stamp: If you are staying exclusively in the resorts of Sharm El-Sheikh, Dahab, Nuweiba, or Taba for up to 15 days, you may be eligible for a free "Sinai-Only" entry stamp upon arrival.
